Hello, anyone know what this error message is indicative of? I am running an online study (files are mainly audio files with 1 picture file) and the majority of participants do not have any difficulty running the script. One participant keeps encountering this error message. Using IE with Java 6 installed. Any advice please?

The error message indicates that the graphics card drivers on the person's machine are broken and outdated. The person needs to update the drivers.

Hello, I am having the same problem although my graphics card is up to date (I just tried to update) and I am using a brand new lenovo ideapad. I am trying to run a verbalstroop with voice recording program in a virtual windows 7 window because it does not work on windows 8 (Inquisit said they are working on it). Can anyone offer some assistance with this matter? Thank you. 

Most likely the VM's graphics settings are the problem. See e.g. https://millisecond.com/forums/Topic6001.aspx#6001 for things you can try in your virtualization software. NB: I would not necessarily expect great timing under virtualization.
