Using in-house web server

Hi,

Due to my institution's ITS policies we have to host our web experiment on our own server.  Before going down this road I just wanted to make sure that our server specs are compatible and sufficient for Inquisit 4.
Right now we have access to a Windows server 2008 with IIS7. This server has 146gb of disc space.  We will be running two simple experiments (Stroop task w/ voice record and Visual Probe task).  Will this server be sufficient to host these two experiments and data collected?

Thanks,
pspowell

The server specs should not be an issue. Note though the information at https://www.millisecond.com/products/Inquisit4/webhosting.aspx

Also note that you cannot use voicerecord in a web experiment context.

I should also add that the client-to-server data transmission format and protocol is currently under revision / undergoing some significant changes. If you indeed must host the data upload service on your own server, I recommend getting in touch via inquisit<at>millisecond.com or support<at>millisecond.com prior to any implementation efforts.

Hi dave,
Is there anyway we can record vocal responses through a web experiment?

Thanks

Perhaps if all the machines were under your own control in an on-site lab, but no, not really.
