Is there a way of cutting out the practice section of the OSpan?

Theoretically yes, but do take note that the timeout for math problems in the *test* phase is derived from the participant's performance in the *practice* phase. I don't think you'd want to cut that out or change it, as this in an integral feature of the procedure.
