Hi ,
Is there a way to redirect subjects automatically to another web page mid way in the test in cases of hang ups or screen outs or incomplete responses.
Thanks

I'm not quite sure what exactly you have in mind here. Can you be a little more concrete?

In general, a "hang up" would suggest the application stopped working (for whatever reason). In this case, no redirection could be made to work since the application would be unable to execute any more code and thus unable to initiate the redirection.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "screen outs". In case you are referring to asking participants a bunch of screening questions to decide if they are entitled to participate or not: Yes, you can stop the script based on their responses and redirect them to some webpage. You can set the page to redirect to in a script via the defaults.finishpage property. You can use /stop and /skip attributes to halt the procedure. In some cases, you can also use the script.abort() function.

The same goes for incomplete resposes. If certain participants failt to meet a criterion you set, you can stop the script and redirect.

Thanks for the reply, I won’t need these now.

Another clarification -

We are using an MR firm for data collection this time and they are asking me todirect subjects through a url and then redirect
subjects back in their system after the test is completed.

So the first link will look like this -

http://research.millisecond.com/robert/researchAB.web?ID=67545645&S=1

And once IDand S captured and stored in the database,  it has to be passed back at the end of like:

http://rqm1rqm.com/qqrtes.php?S=1&ID=67545645

There are twoquery parameters in this. Is it possible- ID and S.

I am familiarwith the registration of the link in inquisit. But there I used to type only ‘ID’as the query parameter and it used to work fine. How to add more queryparameters (like S= 1 in this case)?

The order of the query parameters should not matter. Any query parameter that comes in to the launch page is automatically captured and preserved upon redirection. I.e., you should simply be able to redirect to

http://rqm1rqm.com/qqrtes.php

and everything should be fine.

Thanks for reply,

When I register the url, Inqusit asks me the query parameter- which I write as 'ID'.

But I also see another parameter 'S' in the url link. Will this be automatically captured or do I have to specify it while registering ? And how to specify it while registering- do I write ID & S ? or ID, S ? ( it doesnt seem to be working this way).

Till the time I use only 'ID' as the parameter, its working fine.

Thanks

As I said, any query parameter will be automatically captured by the launch page. It does not matter whether your *script* uses it as either subject or group id.
