Inquisit Web Returns Participant to Beginning of Survey instead of where they left off

Hello. I have interoperated a qualtrics survey with my inquisit web experiment. Subjects start the experiment in the qualtrics survey, then click on a link to the Inquisit task. Then, when they are finished with the task, they forwarded back to the survey.

I used the subject ID as the query parameter from qulatrics to forward this information to the web experiment. Then, in the web setup wizard, I provided the link to the qualtrics survey to forward participants back to where they left off. The Inquisit website says "there is no need to specify subject ID" in the link and that the survey will "continue where it left off with this participant". However, when pretesting this experiment, it Inquisit forwarded the subjects back to the beginning of the survey.

Can you give me some hints to solving this issue? thanks.

I think I've resolved this issue. If you open the survey in Preview or "View" within Qualtrics, you will get the above error, so it will seem like this feature isn't working. When opening the actual Qualtrics link to the active survey, the issue disappears and everything appears to work properly.

Thanks anyway!

How did you set up the subject ID as the query parameter from Qualtrics? I am trying to do this and am completely lost. I am familiar with Qualtrics, but this is my first time using Inquisit. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

See this thread: https://www.millisecond.com/forums/FindPost12409.aspx for some relevant links to the Qualtrics documentation. It's easy:
(1) Set up Qualtrics to include its unique participant identifier as a URL query parameter when forwarding to your Inquisit Web launch page.
(2) Set your Inquisit Web experiment up to retrieve that ID from that query parameter and use it as subject ID. This is done via the settings in the Web Script Wizard.
