Hi All, I am presently designing an experiment in which after the presentation of a stimulus participants then make muliple keypresses on a response box. For each stimulus I want to collect 8-10 responses per trial and this include the inter-buttonpress times.
One way I have thought of doing this is to have the main stimulus trial, then a series of (say) 10 empty trials (i.e. no stimulus and no pause). This assumes a negligable pause between trials.
Is there a better way?
Cheers, Ben.

Hi Ben,
as Inquisit can - at least currently - only register a single response per trial, you'll necessarily have to break up your task into multiple trials (as you suggested). So, I personally don't think that there's a better way to do this. If you don't introduce any pre- or posttrial pauses, timing due to the 'gaps' between response trials should not be any major issue.
Best, ~Dave
