Dear All,
I tried to configure an lpt port in Inquisit 4.0 using an USB to LPT (8 pin) connector. Inquisit does not seem to 'see' this connection, although Win8 appears to work with this perfectly. The result is that signals are not sent trough and I cannot run my study with physiological measures.
Any ideas how to make this work? I mean, any ideas?
Regards, Robert Balas

It's probably the USB-to-parallel adapter you are using. The vast majority of these devices do not implement a "true" parallel port, but only limited LPT functionality (enough to drive, say, a legacy printer). That's probably why Inquisit doesn't "see" / can't use the device.
The solution would be to get a "true" parallel port for the machine, i.e., a PCI(e) card.
