I wanted to do an online experiment where I recorded subjects' vocal responses to different stimuli, but I read in a previous post that this capability is only available in Inquisit Lab. Is this still true for the current release? If so, does anyone know of any viable alternative to do this?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, this is still true currently. While there are plans to ultimately bring this capability to Inquisit Web as well, I unfortunately don't have a concrete time frame for when this will become available. There are a number of logistical challenges -- audio captures can become quite large quickly (e.g. if hundreds of trials are involved, or you're capturing for a long time), resulting in a substantial amount of data (dozens or even hundreds of MB per participant) that would have been transferred from the participant's device (where Inquisit Web is running and collecting the data / captures) back to the server.
As for alternatives, I am not aware of any personally, but perhaps others are and can chime in with their experiences and informed suggestions. Hope this helps.
