Does anyone know of a way to mark mouse location on the screen when its button is clicked with an inquisit script? We wish to use a visual search task using a rather complex picture with an object in it that needs to be found. We would like the participant to be able to mark its detected location on the photo. We would need to mark the time taken to find it and be able to test if it was indeed detected in its real location. Can this be done and how? Thanks much Shlomo

Thanks much Shlomo As for marking, yes, you can put some visual indicator in the location the participant clicked. As for detecting whether it's the right object that was identified, you can either place a <shape> in the location *behind* the picture, which will allow you to code for correct / incorrect response, or, if you are planning to run this using Inquisit Lab (not Web), you can have Inquisit generate a screen capture and store it alongside the results. The click mark / visual indicator would be visible on the screenshot, allowing you to determine whether the participant identified the object of interest or not.
