How To Showcase both the categories and attributes in the brief IAT

Hi,

We are running an experiment with brief IAT for assessing brand preference. However, for ease of respondent understanding, we want to showcase both the categories and attributes in the left and right-hand side (similar to classic IAT). In the default script, only the right-hand side category and attribute is shown and the respondent is asked to press 'E' for anything else. We want it the attributes and categories to be shown like classic IAT, i.e. in right and left and the user presses key accordingly.

Please advise.

Thanks
Dave

Create a <text> element for the other category just like in the regular IAT script, and display it via your <block>'s /bgstim or <trial> elements just like in the regular IAT. Note, though, that this defeats the intent behind the Brief IAT, the highlighting of only two "focal" concepts is an integral part of its design (cf. https://faculty.washington.edu/agg/pdf/Sriram&Greenwald.BIAT.2009.pdf ).
