How do I merge data files?

Hello,

I am using Inquisit Web version and I'm almost finished collecting data for my online study. The data have been recorded from each participant in a separate file, but I am trying to figure out how I might go about merging all of the data into a single file. I have tried following the steps provided here: https://www.millisecond.com/support/docs/v6/html/howto/howtocombinedata.htm but I didn't have much luck in locating the "Select Merge Data Files" command (maybe this is only a function of Inquisit Lab...?).

Is there a simple way to: 1) merge the data for all test outcomes for each participant and then 2) merge the data from all participants together?

I cannot seem to select more than one page at a time, which means that I am having to save 3 excel files separately and then copy and paste the data into an individual file - I want to avoid doing this to minimise the risk of human error.

Any advice/tips and tricks would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Caitlin

(1) Check the folder containing the data files you wish to merge:

(2) Select the format you want from the "Download Selected Items" menu:

(3) The file will be prepared and then be available for download at https://myaccount.millisecond.com/download in your account:

Brilliant - thanks Dave!

There is still one more problem I'm trying to solve. That is, is there a way to, for example, combine the summary data of the WCST with the summary data of the CFI for each participant? More specifically, I am wanting to merge by the subject ID such that the scores for each of the tests appear in columns 1 and 2, and the participant ID is displayed in row 1. I am trying to avoid a situation where I have to manually reconfigure the data and match participants ID's with scores for every test. I have provided an image (fake data) of what I am hoping to achieve below:

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Caitlin

This is a job for your spreadsheet or statistical analysis application. E.g. https://www.extendoffice.com/documents/excel/3954-excel-merge-tables-by-column.html
