hi,
my study requires 2 monitors. The 2 monitors need to be in display mirror mode (in window) as both participants are controlling the cursor simultaneously.
At one point I need to send a video or audio prompt stimuli to just one of the participants.

1) can I send this stimuli (picture) to just one display while in display mirror mode in windows?
2) alternately can I send different audio stimuli to different audio devises. during a trial?

Many thanks for any help
Peter

In principle, a stimuli's /monitor attribute (https://www.millisecond.com/support/docs/v6/html/language/attributes/monitor.htm ) determines which display a stimulus is displayed on when there are multiple. Given that you're mirroring at the OS level, however, I'm not sure this will work. In any case, it's worth trying and should be quick to rule in or out.

Not to different audio devices, but if you use a splitter cable (something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000068O5H ) on your sound card's stereo output, you could send an audio signal just on one of the two channels (either left or right; https://www.millisecond.com/support/docs/v6/html/language/attributes/pan.htm ). This would only work if the experiment doesn't otherwise require stereo audio output going to both participants.
