[HELP] Inquisit 6 not starting nor installing on Mac OS 15.4.1

Hello,

I've recently noticed that Inquisit 6 stopped working on my Mac. It keeps quitting when I try to start the app (attach. 1).
I wonder if that is a known issue and if there is any way I could try to solve this? (I tried to search this forum for similar requests but the search never returned...)
The Inquisit version I have installed is 6.6.1 (6581).
I tried to install the newest version of the 6 series (6.6.3) and the most recent version I'm eligible to (7.0.3) but they both fail to install (attach. 2).
I'm using a Macbook Pro Apple M1 Max running Mac OS Sequoia 15.4.1 (24E263).
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Recent updates by Apple prevent Inquisit 6 Lab from installing on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 to M4) running MacOS 15.4.x. It should still work under MacOS 15.3.x or lower, or on Intel Macs, including those running 15.4.x. At this time, there is no workaround or known fix for the issue. The general recommendation is to switch to the current version of Inquisit 7 Lab (7.0.9), which installs and works fine on all Macs running 15.4.x.

It *may* be possible to get 7.0.3 to install. In your Mac's Terminal app, try running

sudo /Applications/Inquisit\ 7.app/Contents/MacOS/Inquisit\ 7 --resetup

(When prompted in terminal, type your Mac's password and hit enter). Any errors encountered during setup should be output in terminal. You can post them here and then I can tell you if they are potentially fixable and how.

Thanks, Dave.
I think I was able to install version 7.0.3 following your instructions. I haven't yet thoroughly tested it but I can load some "old" inquisit files I had.
