Integrating Inquisit with surveygizmo

Hi everyone,

I intend to have participants complete a few tasks on Inquisit followed by a few questionnaires on Surveygizmo.

From this page:
https://millisecond.com/support/docs/v4/html/howto/interopsurveys.htm

When registering your Inquisit web script on millisecond.com, you can specify that subjects should provide the id in the registration wizard.

Currently, while running the scripts, I will be prompted for subject ID and group ID. Does the above quote mean that I can do away with that and have participants enter their student ID instead?

Secondly, I'm running two scripts together, resulting in two separate data files. How can I link them up with the student ID?

Lastly, I understand I can specify the surveygizmo url as a "finish page" on Inquisit. Am I correct to say that?

All help appreciated.

Yes and you can already do that now provided that your scripts do not require a numerical subject id for counterbalancing purposes.

You match them via the subject id which will be equal to the student id in this scenario.

Yes. But you may also want to study https://millisecond.com/support/docs/v4/html/howto/interopsurveys.htm.

Hi Dave,

Thank you so much for the helpful replies!

You mentioned that I can already specify it so that the script ask for the student ID instead of subject and group ID. How do I proceed with that? Or do I have to wait until I upload the script before that is possible?

Nothing keeps you from entering an alphanumerical id into Inquisit's subject # textbox when you run a script.

This is, of course, a bit different on the web and you specify the kind of id to collect (here: subject entered) when you upload your files and configure the web experiment via the Web Script Wizard. I suggest you try this out and test everything for yourself.
