Newbie question: Constrain & Lock Window Size?

Hello Everyone,

I've been attempting to learn about Inquisit (Inqusit 4.0.2 on Mac OS X) for the last two days, and I'm stuck. As a newbie, I would greatly appreciate your help.

I can find similar questions and answers but, as a total beginner, I'm not quite sure how to proceed to accomplish the following.

I may likely be using something similar to the Lexical Decision Task from the task library (found at http://www.millisecond.com/download/library/LexicalDecisionTask/ ). Using that task example, I've tried changing the variables based upon information from this post (found at http://www.millisecond.com/forums/Topic9747.aspx ), but I'm not sure how to effectively accomplish the following.

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish:

1. Constrain the Inquisit window to the middle section of the computer's display

  • so that the desktop background can be displayed simultaneously while collecting data.

2. "Lock" the Inquisit window in-place

  • To ensure the desktop background remains visible

    • by preventing respondents from moving and resizing the Inquisit window.

Thanks, once again, for your assistance. I really appreciate it!

best wishes,

Jake

Neither is currently possible, I'm afraid.
