I have made some supporting htm pages for the instructions, and I have uploaded those files online. When I run my experiment on the computer version of Inquisit 4 the htm pages are presented well. However, when I run the experiment online, some pages with strange characters and symbols are presented instead of my htm files. How can I solve this problem?

RE: Htm files Inquisit 4 online

This is a known issue in Inquisit Web 4.0.4.0. It involves pages being transmitted in compressed fashion but not being decompressed properly prior to rendering under certain circumstances. As far as I am aware, the issue pertains to Windows systems only. A fix will be included in the next release.

Unfortunately there is no known, immediate workaround for the current release available. You would either have to desist from using HTML pages or wait for the next version to be released (which should occur in the not too distant future -- weeks, not months).

Hope this helps.
