Usage of Projectors

Hi dear Inquisit-Community,
did anybody made experiences with reaction time experiments and stimulus presentation via a projector? I try to detect accurate reaction time on stimulus presentation, but also prefer huge display of the stimuli. In the internet I read about DLP-Projectors to show fast reaction time. Did anyone made good experience with DLP-Projectors compared to a typical monitor, or does the stimulus display generally change dramatically through projectors?

DLP projectors use an entirely different technology than LCD and CRT monitors. Reaction time is usually not a concern with DLPs due to their technology (there are other potential issues, though). Cf. https://www.avforums.com/threads/picture-refresh-rate-on-projectors.160436/#post-1249680

The most important thing you'll want to pay attention to are the *refresh rates* a given projector supports. Many will run at either 50 or 60Hz (comparable to LCD monitors), which should be "good enough" for most things, but may be insufficient / too slow if you are trying to pull off things like subliminal priming which require shorter stimulus display times than a DLP projector or LCD screen may be able to deliver.
