However, we installed a trial version of Inquisit on the subject computer (Win 10) just to make sure that it works before we order the Plugin. We tried to run the trial experiments "kittensorpuppies" and "yonitest" but unfortunately we encountered a problem. Even though the connection was established, the computer with the eyetracker (host PC) didn't show what was happening on the computer with the Inquisit experiment (subject PC). So we could see that the subject was looking at something, but didn't see the stimuli that the subject saw at the moment (we only saw a black screen instead of the sstimuli). We tested our setup with the default SR software and it worked as intended. Does anyone have the same setup and encountered a similar problem?

Our setup is: 1 "old" host PC connected to the eyetracker (SR Eyelink 1000) with dual boot (Win 7 and DOS) and 1 subject PC connected to the host PC with Win 10.
Thank you in advance! :)

Best.
Panos

RE: Connection with SR Eyelink 1000

+x
Panos - 11/4/2019

Hi all,

in our department we use Inquisit for almost all our experiments and we thought it would be great, if we also used it for eyetracking experiments as well. The current release of the Inquisit SR Research plugin indeed does not support the kind of screen mirroring the default SR software performs, but we will add that functionality in a future update.
