You need to creat an additional <trial> element (call it <trial instructions>) and <text> stimuli holding the instructions to be displayed by the instructions trial. Then just insert the trial at whatever point you need it to run with the '/ trials' attribute of your <block> element.

Hello,

I have a problem due to lack of inquisit programming experience. I have an explicit survey part right after my IAT. Now I want to add some instruction pages here and there. What is the command to simply insert a page with some text?

For example I would like to add some explanation page before the likertEinstellung, and between the likertEinstellung and the likertVerhalten trials.

I tried with the preinstruction command but those could not be positioned in the block like I wanted. Also, I didnt know how to format the text on this page because it looked differently than the text within the iat blocks...

can you help me?
