okay - it runs on my colleague's Macbook Air - differences are that his is a mid-2013 running OSX 10.8 and mine is a mid-2012 running OSX 10.9. I have the 2G Core i7 whereas his is a 1.6G Core i7 and I have a larger hard drive.
So I think the scripting is reasonably robust and it is possibly a graphics card issue or something that camtasia or other video capture and video editing software on my computer has set. It's a bit sad to say that my computer is a mutant!! :-)
