Hello,

We worked off the sample dot probe paradigm script to create our own experiment, which worked just fine when we ran it on Mturk a few weeks ago. However, we made a few changes, and now we cannot get certain images to show up on the screen during the task, despite the data file saying that the images were selected.

Basically we have four types of image pairs. Two of the types show both of the images just fine. However, the other two image pairs are basically the same image twice, and in these trials, one of the images does not show up. Despite the two images being the same .png file, we have each image selected from two separate lists to try and prevent any confusion in the script.

The script is long and complicated, so I'm not sure which part to paste here. We have compared our original script to our current one over and over, and for the life of us, cannot find the issue! Any help whatsoever would be appreciated.

Thanks so much,

Jen

You can attach files to threads on the forum. Please don't paste long snippets of code into the message body. To attach files, click +Insert -> AddFile when replying to a thread. When you provide the file(s), please make sure to *precisely* describe the problem in your accompanying message, i.e., make clear which elements, items, etc. in the script you are referring to. Also include any additional information you have that illustrates the problem (e.g. a partial data file, a screenshot depicting the issue).

Figured it out! But thank you so much-- I will keep that in mind for the future.
