I found that if I am inserting images into an HTML page (for example, editing the sample consent page from the Inquisit tutorials page) with Microsoft Word 2010 that inserted images to do not display on load of the trial without right clicking within the experiment and 'refreshing' the page. On some occasions the image will appear for maybe a frame or two (fraction of a second), then disappear.

However, if I take the same sample consent page file and edit with notepad to insert an image (manually) and run the same experiment, then the image will load.

I have essentially no experience with HTML and programming, but am learning what I can. Is there a way to edit HTML with word and still have images load appropriately? Or should I use another program? I like the ability to 'see' what I am making using Word, whereas notepad is an exercise in changing the variables until I get it to look the way that I want.

Cheers,

Jeff

The "HTML" word processors like MS Word put out is generally pretty terrible, so I would recommend using something else, i.e., a dedicated HTML editor.  There are many options, both commercial as well as free / open source. See e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HTML_editors

Basic HTML is not hard to learn, and the tutorials at e.g. http://www.w3schools.com/html/ are an excellent resource.

Hope this helps.
