Hello,

I'm working through modifying  the DDT Food and Money Task , and I was wondering if it possible to do the following:

1)  insert an option between  the  food imageselection  and the first block. This option would allow the user to to select a  personalized fixed amount of the food via adrop-down menu or a list of options.  Whatever theyclick will then need to be reflected in their fixed delayed amount (e.g., ifthey choose 2 brownies, then 2 brownies will need to show up on the right sideof the task for all following pages).

2) Based off of the user's chosen amount, how would I code it so that the delayed increments following the choice is representative of that (ie: if the person chooses 2  brownies, the delay is: 2.0 brownies, 1.5 brownies, 1 brownie, .5 brownie....)

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

While virtually anything is possible to program, I'm struggling to see how this makes sense. The point where you really run into theoretical / methodological problems is #2. Obviously, the individual amount chosen affects the amount of possible delays (there can be no, say, -0.5 brownies). I.e., the task would be much shorter for some participants, it becomes impossible to compare results, the indifference point estimates become basically useless.
