I downloaded Inquisit 4 for my macbook pro, and the syntax editor and everything installed well. However, when I run scripts, the screen is black. The only exception to this is the "next" button or the actual buttons on a radio button question. Everything else is black. I also am not able to interact with the features that do show. For example, if I try to click the "next" button or press 'return', nothing happens and I am forced to quit out of the experiment. I've tried manipulating the screen colors, but nothing seems to make a difference.
Am I doing something wrong? Have others had similar problems?
Thanks!
I'm new to Inquisit, and I am having a similar problem on my Mac. I downloaded a script from the Inquisit site, but when I try to view it I get a blank screen. As far as I can tell, the program is recording data but the screen isn't showing anything on it.
Thanks,
Kyle
Update:
When I posted this I was running OS 10.5.8. I upgraded to 10.6.8 and now everything works fine, including the online component. As best as I can tell, the problem has something to do with java.
