In an Inquisit web experiment one participant could not do her/his experiment...s/he says that it's downloading 2 files but then an “Inquisit encounterederrors with this test” message popped up. Is this due to poor internet connection?
Thank you!

It could be due to a poor connection, yes. I'd have to see the exact error message to possibly see more (there are more details on the "Inquisit encountered errors" page the participant sees). Do you happen to know the participant's subject ID and can you give me the link to the web experiment?

Thanks for providing the full error message. Yes, that does indeed indicate a connection problem on the client-side. "System Error 12002" is a generic Windows internet connection timeout ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/193625/info-wininet-error-codes-12001-through-12156 ). This can be caused by a number of things, such as a poor or congested connection (think: weak or spotty WiFi signal), firewall blocking traffic, an overly aggressively configured anti-virus / anti-malware application, or even a malware infection.
