Thanks Dave, that's exactly want I wanted to hear ;-)
Various D algorithms can be found in the literature, particularly in Greenwald et al. (2003). The Inquisit scripts implement the recommended "improved" scoring algorithm according to that paper. That is what expressions.d represents, more here: http://www.millisecond.com/forums/Topic3444.aspx.
If you want use a different algorithm, you need to re-calculate D from the raw data using your preferred data analysis application.
Dear Community,
I completed running my first IAT. Now I am wondering, if there is the possibility to correct the latencies and recalculate the IAT effect. (As many papers suggest, latencies under 300 ms should be corrected to 300 ms and latencies over 3000 ms to 3000 ms.)
I tried to just change the latencies in the Data File and hoped that expressions.d will be autocorrected... But it didn't work.
Is there anything in Inquisit which I use for this? Or do I need to extract the D-Algorithm in some way?
By the way, is it possible to ad some further orders from the beginning to the whole algorithm which corrects the latencies when they occur?
Thanks a lot for any answer.
Regards,
Dany
