To whom it may concern,

I am using 2 Brief IAT's in my upcoming experiment. One is with words and the other with pictures. I was hoping you could help me with interpreting the data output in SPSS. I have downloaded the IAT SPSS script and followed the directions but I cannot seem to get it to work.

It says to put the name of you data file into the IAT SPSS script and save it separately, but keep both files in the same folder.

1. I just want to confirm that I am doing this right. Am I to save the data file as .dat and the IAT SPSS script as .iqx?

Next it says to close SPSS and go to the file (I am assuming it is the IAT SPSS script.iqx) and press open with SPSS.

2. This is not working. It only works when the file is in .dat format

Next the instructions say to: Select the Run->All command
Then....Check the output window for warnings or errors.

3. This command is not available. It must be the state of the document.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong. I am assuming I am missing one key element (or maybe a few :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Amina
