That troublesome antipodean again.
I have registered 4 different scripts on behalf of an academic and some research students at this university. This is actually two sets of the same scripts, so we can keep the data separated for the two separate groups who will be subjects.
Each script uses the batch command to run 5 applications in the first instance and only two in the second.
I first need to check on the allocation of between subject variation. I have read the document in support docs on websubject numbers and am assured through that the groupid generated randomly will be either an even or an odd number (in my case the numbers are 9 digit numbers. An odd numbered group ID will be assigned to the /subjects =(1of 2) and visa versa for the even numbered groupid's. Is this correct?
The subject numbers are 6 digit user entered numbers and to the best of my knowledge, only one of the 5 applications (an IAT) is using between subject balancing.
My next question relates to the downloaded launch pages. I am used to generating an inquisit.htm file in all cases of other scripts I have registered previously. In these cases they are called respectively part1psy102.htm, part2psy102.htm, thirdyrpart1.htm and thirdyrpart2.htm. When I open t hese and inspect them there is none of the detail one usually finds in the inquisit.htm files. Yet the programs appear to run as expected. Am I missing something here.
My last question relates to the data. When I have tested the set up, I have just used crtl-Q to terminate each section of the running batch file. Does doing this mean that no data file is generated? Testing on the desktop, even when I do this a data file is generated.
I hope you can help me with this once again.
regards,
Patrick
