Hi all,

I am currently writing a script in Inquisit 4 for an online experiment. In the course of the experiment, subjects will be transferred to an external html website which I have created for the purpose of my study. I would like to embed the website in my script using Inquisit's "html" element. The website contains javascript. The javascript changes the attribute of some element on the html website. This works just fine when I open the html page in whatever browser but it somehow fails when the page is embedded in Inquisit.

I have checked other webpages that use javascript and they all work fine when embedded in the script using the html element. In my eyes the key question seems to be which version of IE is used to render the page and which javascript engine is used? Can anybody answer these questions or has anybody had the same problem when embedding a website in Inquisit 4?

Appreciate your help!

On Windows, Inquisit will use whatever version of IE is installed on the given system to render the HTML page. Given that, as you assert, other pages containing Javascript work fine, I would suggest that there is something about your particular page / its Javascript functionality that throws things (read: IE) off.
