Thank you very much! I think I got it with your help- although I have to change the data already in the data file of inquisit- at least I didn't find another solution.
Thanks again!

You ought to go back and check your SPSS import settings thoroughly. For example, what you see in screenshot 1's 'blockcode' column certainly isn't an actual blockcode. It's a trialnum. Same thing for the 'trialcode' column -- it's actually the blockcode.
In other words, you have some column-shifting going on there. That's likely due to the fact that Inquisit 4 data files will (by default) contain an additional 'groupid' column. Groupid does not exist in Inquisit 3 and its data files.

Hello,
I recorded my data with Inquisit 3 for some part, then someone installed Inquisit 4 on the computers and the program wanted to run with Inquisit 4. I thought they won't be any difference concerning recording the data and now have data in one file collected via Inquisit 3 and Inquisit 4.
Unfortunately there is a difference in the representation of the data in SPSS as the blockcode and trialcode are totally different as the stimulusitem 2 is missing. Please see attached screenshots of the different representaion in SPSS.1 and 2 are showing the data with Inquisit 4 and 3 and 4 are showing the data with Inquisit 3.
I don't know how I can see which item is behind the code.
Maybe this is typical for the representation in Inquisit 4- so it can be fixed easily?
I highly appreciate the help of anyone who is taking the time to solve this problem.
Thank you very much!
