Hi there,

I am wanting to force my survey duration to be 10 minutes. That is, it times out after 10 minutes, but also does not go to next item if Ss finishes before 10 minutes. Can this be done?

I have looked at the response and timeout elements. Both seem to limit, but not force, duration.

Many thanks,
paul

A /timeout can only enforce a *maximum* duration for a <block>. If a <block> runs out of trials *prior* to the set /timeout, what should it do with the remaining time other than terminate since there are no more trials left?

Thus, if you want to ensure that the <block> cannot terminate prior to the set /timeout, you need to have it run a sufficient number of trials -- enough to make sure that nobody can complete them all before the <block> times out.
