Dear community,

I've been struggling with the following: is it possible to have a trial continue running for a fixed duration after a response is given? So for instance, let's say I define a trial with duration of 10 seconds, with /beginresponseframe set to 1 such that a participant can respond immediately. If I set /responseinterrupt to immediate, my trial ends immediately after a response is given. I don't want that, I want it to run its course for 1 second after response and then end. If I set /responseinterrupt to frames or trial, my trial will run its full 10 seconds before completing, which is not what I want either.

Do any of the Inquisit buffs on this forum know how to cope with this problem? If you need context: I'm trying to recreate the Wundt clock paradigm.

Thanks for your help!

The general idea here would be to (1) have the "main" trial end immediately after receiving a response (/responseinterrupt=immediate) and (2) branch to a 2nd <trial> that does whatever you need it to do for the 1000ms after the response in the 1st trial.
