Hi,

We are running a simple IAT script. For blocks 1 and 2 (designated as "targetcompatablepractice" and "attributepractice" there is no raw data for the expressions da column, only the d column, which is zero. For blocks 3 and 5 (compatabletest1 and compatabletest2) there is data in the expressions da and d coloumn but not the db column, plus the first stimulus in each row does not provide any data. This is odd because we were under the impression that the practice was for da and the tests were for db. All the other blocks look like they have data for the expressions da, expressions db, and expressions d columns (though some numbers are the same within the practice rows and some of the test rows for all of the expressions columns). Is there something wrong with the script or are we interpreting the data incorrectly. We downloaded the script and have made no changes to the analysis portions.

Thanks!

Dave

D-scores a difference scores. The derive from the difference in response latency in *incompatible* vs. *compatible* blocks.

Attribute practice does not figure into calculating D-scores at all. Hence no data should be expected. As already mentioned above, D-scores are *difference scores*. As long as there's only data from a single condition (here: compatible practice), no difference score can be calculated. The rest should follow from what I've outlined. Also see: https://www.millisecond.com/forums/Topic3444.aspx

Every *row* in your data file can be read as "this is the D-score *given all the available, applicable data up to this point*". Hence the last line in the data file represents the final score(s).
