Hello,

I am new to Inquisit and I just purchased the 4.0 web license. I am trying to figure out how to download and edit an IAT script from the library. It says that I must use the lab version to do this; is that correct and why is this so? When I download it, there is a box that asks for the registration code or use the free trial. I tried using the trial and editing the script that way but it gives me an error when I try to upload the script in the web version. If I do use the trial version, I read that the data is only recorded in monkey version; what does this mean? And how can I upload a personalized script to administer to participants by inserting the link into a Qualtrics survey?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated, thank you.

You use Inquisit Lab to edit and test scripts. It does not matter whether your Inquisit Lab copy is registered or not -- you can always view edit, save, etc. scripts even after the trial period has expired.

Once the trial period has expired, Inquisit Lab will no longer record data when you run / test the script *manually*. You'd have to purchase an Inquisit Lab license and register your copy to get data recording back. The *monkey* will always generate data, even if the trial period has expired for your *unregistered* copy.

Inquisit Web does not care (it can't even tell) whether your script was modified using a registered or unregistered copy of Inquisit Lab. If you get some kind of error during upload, something else is amiss. What's the specific error?

As for interacting with Qualtrics, see the "How to interoperate Inquisit Web with online survey packages" topic in the Inquisit documentation. In addition, you'll want to familiarize yourself with the topics detailed in the Qualtrics documentation referenced in this thread: https://www.millisecond.com/forums/FindPost12409.aspx
