Which web-browser does inquisit use, and can this be changed

Under Windows, Inquisit embeds Internet Explorer to render HTML / web content. Under OSX, it makes use of the system-wide WebKit framework (AFAIK).

There is no way to change this or specify a different rendering engine.

Our experiment opens a browser within Inquisit. Does anyone know which browser is this and can the default be set to another? This is an attempt to solve some authentication issues we're having
