One of my participants succefully finished part 1 of my experiment. Now he tries to start part 2 (after a few weeks) and gets this message:
Inquisit was unable to contact the server to verify that this script is licensed. The script will not be run.

Does anyone know how this can happen and how to fix this?

Thnx!
Dave

This can be due to a number of reasons, most likely:

#1: The participant is running a relatively old Windows version (e.g. XP) that does not have TLS 1.0 (at a minimum) enabled by default. This is needed for secure communications between the Inquisit runtime on the computer and the millisecond.com server. It can be enabled via

Internet Options -> Advanced -> Security -> Check 'Use TLS 1.0'

#2: There is a firewall on the participant's computer or network that blocks traffic between the Inquisit runtime on the computer and the millisecond.com server.
