What makes un- and then re-registering the script necessary in this particular case is the fact that between the time your script was initially deployed and now some significant changes have occurred. Among other things, the way launch pages are generated was changed quite a while back (to improve compatibility across browsers and some other things). Your script was still using the "old" launch page (incompatible with the new ones) and hence was stuck with the version it was initially deployed with (4.0.4.0). Re-registering the script gives you the "new" launch page and thus access to the newer version(s).

The missing image files, though, are unrelated to the above. Those would have had to be uploaded to the server in any case.

Hope this clarifies.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I'll do that. I did not realize that I needed to re-download the script.

The first thing you need to do is unregister the script and then re-register it (that includes re-uploading all the files, etc.). Because it has been initially uploaded ages ago, it is using an ancient Inquisit Web version (4.0.4.0). You should be using at least version 4.0.8.0.

Once you're in the process of re-registering the script, make sure to *upload all the files the script requires*. The Race IAT displays various images as targets. You need to upload those image files to your account along with the script. Currently none of those image files are there and hence the script cannot possibly run: The server cannot distribute files to participants which it does not have.

Hope this helps.

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me! I created a study that begins in survey monkey and routes participants to Inquisit to complete two IAT's (Gender/Career and the Race IAT) before being directed to a debriefing statement. I've had so much trouble with assigning subject ID's to participants. I am not as tech savvy as others and would just like to use IP addresses to be abled to match the data from both websites. I am not sure how to do this properly. I tried several different things, but the study ran when I put assigned "sequential" as the group id and subject id.

BUT...when I tested it, I got a page that red "Inquisit encountered errors while attempting to run this study." It also said /myaccount/scripts/gloveradr/RaceIAT//RaceIAT.iqx.unknown and WIC error
I just purchased yet another two-month web license, and I fear that I will once again not be able to collect any data. If any one can provide me with insight or easy to follow assistance, I would greatly appreciate it.
