The error message means that the graphics card driver on the respective computer is broken and/or outdated: The installed driver does not provide the standard features Inquisit (and other similar applications) need to display stimuli, etc.

This is often the case if the computer uses the "stock" drivers that come with a fresh Windows installation instead of those provided by the graphics card's manufacturer.

The solution is to obtain and install the latest driver for the computer's display adapter (graphics card) from the manufacturer's website.

Hello,
I have been using a script to run a research study for quite sometime now and it has been working smoothly. However, I tried copying and pasting the script onto another computer (so that I can run more than 1 participant at the same time), and these two error messages come up:

"DXGI Error: 0x887a0002 DXGI_ERROR_NOT_FOUND Line 472, File win\Direct2DGraphics.cpp"
"Direct2D initialization failed. Please visit the manufacturer's web site for your graphics card and install the latest drivers."

What do they mean and how can I remedy the issue so that it runs properly on the new computers?

Thanks!
