Group: Forum Members Posts: 13, Visits: 58	Hi, When I run the DDT Food Money Task, the program seems to prematurely close before it finishes running. I ran a validation of the script syntax and it says that there are no errors in the script. I was wondering what the problem with the script is, since I can't seem to figure it out. Since you've posted in the Inquisit 4 forum, could you please clarify what Inquisit version you are trying to run this under? Is it Inquisit 4 or Inquisit 5. Also, if you could explain what exactly "seems to prematurely close before it finishes running" means, that would be helpful. I.e., how did you make that determination, where / when does the script close prematurely, etc. Thanks.

The script should run in Inquisit 4. In regards to running the program, it can run up the point where participants can choose a food choice, and hit the "Continue" page, but the program will stop responding and close before the delay block choices actually appear. Hope this information helps.

I ran the script in Inquisit 4.0.10.0 ( the latest Inquisit 4 version available via https://www.millisecond.com/download/ ) and I'm unable to reproduce this behavior: "it can run up the point where participants can choose a food choice, and hit the "Continue" page, but the program will stop responding and close before the delay block choices actually appear." I.e., the four choices appear fine for me, I can select one, and the script then moves on through all the delay blocks as it should (I used some random JPEGS I had lying around, because I obviously do not have the original pizza.jpg, pie.jpg, etc. image files you are using) . I'm attaching a data file so you can see for yourself. #1: Is your Inquisit installation up to date? If not please download and install the latest release. #2: If the issue occurs with the latest version, what operating system (type and version) are you seeing this under? #3: Are there any error messages, either emitted by Inquisit itself or by Windows (check the system's application logs for the latter)? If there are, what do they say? #4: If the issue occurs under the latest version, could you please attach Inquisit's log file here? You can access it via Tools -> View Log File... Hi Dave, I tried running the task on a different computer and it seems to run fine, so the issue may have been localized to the laptop that I was working on. Thank you very much for the help!
