+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xSorry, this is confusing. I think we're talking about two different things here. If you click the "download" button next to your web script in your account a file with an *.iqzip extension will be downloaded to your computer. This is a simple ZIP archive. That archive contains the script (the *,iqx file) and any other files you uploaded to the millisecond.com server along with the script. Here: It will also contain the file "finish.htm". You can open the IQZIP archive with Inquisit Lab -- this will automatically extract its contents and open the script. Put the IQZIP on your Desktop and open it. You'll get a new folder on your Desktop that holds the script and other files. You can edit any of those files in whatever way you need to. For the record: I did all of the above. I downloaded the file and confirmed that, yes, the finish.htm file is included as I said. I can't say much about the other issue, but I would guess that for whatever reason the Inquisit Lab installation on your home computer is broken. Uninstall it. Download the latest version from the homepage ( https://www.millisecond.com/download ), and do a fresh installation. If that doesn't help, Windows' installer system has a habit of sometimes breaking for no good reason. Microsoft provides a small app at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removedwhich will attempt to automatically diagnose and fix the problem.
Hi Dave, I've tried both of these things here at home, including uninstalling and reinstalling Inquisit 5, both on my PC and my laptop. and when I open the iqzip file it only opens the script not the finish script. I've opened to folder which is sitting on my desktop and it has two things in it - my script and the finish htm file. When I open the htm file I get the actual page not the script. I have to go into the office in a little while and will try there too but its not looking hopeful. Thanks again Jenny Hi Dave, I'm having the same problem in the office. Sorry! I don't really know what to do. Best Jenny > when I open the iqzip file it only opens the script not the finish script. Yes, that is what is supposed to happen / exactly what I described in my previous response. > I've opened to folder which is sitting on my desktop and it has two things in it - my script and the finish htm file. This, too, is exactly what is supposed to happen. Everything is working exactly as it should. > When I open the htm file I get the actual page not the script. You can use a simple text editor such as Notepad or a dedicated HTML editor to edit the HTML file. That's how it's supposed to work. The HTML file has nothing to do with your script, i.e. it isn't part of it. Hi Dave I finally have the script ... sorry for being such an idiot ... but I've not done this before. Best Jenny Hi Dave, Just a thought .. the debrief statement works fine but we are using MTurk workers for this study. They will likely want to uninstall the Inquisit player from their local machines and they aren't given the option. Is there anyway to do this on a custom finish page? Thanks Jenny Yes. You can simply include a link to https://www.millisecond.com/support/uninstall.aspx on your custom finish page (i.e. your "finish.htm" file). OK I get that this is possible but I have looked at the Inquisit documentation and cannot find how to do this. What sort of command do I need to put in the custom finish page to include this link. I'm sorry I'm being such an idiot but neither I nor any of my colleagues know how to do this. This not something you will or should find in the Inquisit documentation. You edit the HTML file, and you already know how to put links on it: It works the same way as with your PDF files. To illustrate / give you a template, I've added a link to the uninstall instructions to your finish page here: http://research.millisecond.com/bolderoj/kimina1.webYou can download, view and edit the file as discussed previously in this thread. THANK YOU!!! I would have not got that quite right. I owe you big time as we say here! Happy to help!

Best Jenny

+x+x+xSorry, this is confusing.
