Could you please post the link (?) you've been sent and/or explain what you mean by "installed the inquisit file" (which file)?

To access that link I would have to have access to your email account, which I obviously don't have and should not have. Could you please post whatever you got in some accessible format here?

Thanks for posting the link! I've tested the link / experiment and it works fine. What exactly are you seeing when you attempt to run it? I.e. are you getting any error messages? If so, what do they say? Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing? Finally, what kind of system are you trying to run this under (Windows? Mac? Which version?)?
Thanks!

Ah, thanks for posting the screenshot. That is a generic internet timeout message, in other words _something_ is preventing the Inquisit Player on your PC from communicating with the server (to download the experiment files) in a timely fashion. That "something" could be, among other things, a local firewall or antivirus product blocking the traffic, malware that has hijacked your system, or just a slow or unreliable internet connection (think: very spotty WiFi coverage).
First try temporarily disabling any 3rd party firewall or antivirus solution. If that doesn't help, try running Windows built-in network connection troubleshooter:
Click Start→Control Panel→Network and Internet.
Then click the Network and Sharing Center link.
Click Troubleshoot problems.
Click Internet Connections.
And if that doesn't help, you can try the steps detailed here to reset the most important internet connection-related settings:
