The test has picture elements that are speaker icons. I want to allow the user to click on it and listen to the audio file associated with that index. For the most part it does just that, my only problem is that some of the audio elements can be up to 8 seconds long and every time I press the speaker the background stimuli disappears until the sound is finished playing. The only reason why this is a problem is because there are words on the screen for the purpose of reading along. I assume that I cannot prevent this from happening but I wanted to know if there was an alternative? Hopefully I can do something.

PS: At the moment, after the icon is clicked it quickly goes to a new frame with the same stimuli on it, plays the audio, then goes back to the original trial. This kind of works but it's causing new problems.

Allow me to answer my own question for others to find. Under the picture element set the element /erase = false. This way when a response occurs the images stay visible. Silly me, this was so simple.
