Hello all. I would like to start by admitting that this is my first time using Inquisit and that I have limited knowledge of coding or script.

I want to distribute Harvard's Project Implicit Weight (facial) test. I found that in the test bank; however, I also need Harvard's Project Implicit self-report survey questions/demographic questionnaire that is included with all of the IAT tests.

Is there a way that I can include it with the script, or do I have to follow the tutorial and manually create each survey question? I was hoping it would all come as one package since the questionnaire is not my own. I am intimidated by the idea of having to "code" the survey questions in separately.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

You would have to create a script for the survey yourself, I'm not aware of an Inquisit version of this particular survey already existing. An introduction to setting up surveys is here: https://www.millisecond.com/support/docs/v5/html/tutorials/demographic_survey/surveytutorial.htm

It's not difficult to do, and if you hit a roadblock, just add whatever question you have / problem you can't solve to this thread here.

So I think I've coded everything into one script and uploaded it. First, is there a way that I can add a "Decline to answer button" under each survey question -- which would still move them to the next page?
Also, how can I make sure that the first thing that opens is the Consent form, then a preliminary information/text page, then each page of the survey, and finally the IAT test?
Thank you!

I have also uploaded and tried to run the script, but a copy of the code just comes up(?)

> First, is there a way that I can add a "Decline to answer button" under each survey question

You would need to make "Decline to answer" one of the response /options for each question. Alternatively, you can allow participants to move on without answering specific questions at all by setting the respective question's /required attribute to false. https://www.millisecond.com/support/docs/v5/html/language/attributes/required.htm

> I have also uploaded and tried to run the script, but a copy of the code just comes up.

The script you want to run needs to be set as the start script in the web experiment's settings and you can only run it via the launch page, not by opening the script file directly in your browser.
