Hallo Everybody, I have a very similar problem as the one M. Wall (Royal Holloway, University of London) described four days ago. I am evaluating Inquisit for use in a working-memory task concerning reading span. It is very important that each stimulus is presented for the same duration, independent of the subjects' response.

My trial definition looks like this:

/ validresponse = ("a", "l")
/ correctresponse = ("a")
/ numframes =1
/ stimulusframes = [1= falsch1,Fragezeichen]
/ trialduration = 4000
/ posttrialpause = 1000

Similar to the problems of M.Wall, the trial length varies by a degree of about 1 to 3 seconds instead of lasting for exactly for 4sec. I have checked many possibilities for this problem. My only explanation is an error with the demand /trialduration

Many thanks for your help,

Thanks for the post, and sorry for the delayed response.

We have discovered that the trialduration command is not working Inquisit 2.0. We are currently testing our fix for this problem, and we expect to release the fixed version to the web site by then end of this weekend.

We've posted an update to Inquisit 2.0 that fixes this problem and a few others. You can download the update from http://www.millisecond.com/download.aspx.

Cheers,
Sean
