Hello,

I'm currently using the Reading Span Task (RSPAN) in an experiment that we're running. (https://www.millisecond.com/download/library/rspan). How do you determine if a participant fully completed the task or if they encountered any issues? I've had one participant who tried completing it on a smartphone but then encountered an issue and it crashed. How do I determine if a participant fully completed the task or not?

There should be 15 experimental trials. However, in the data itself, they aren't numbered in this way. Instead, the experimental trials all have the same block number, and each line of data has its own trial number. Does anyone have any guidance for this?

The data output is documented in the user manual: https://www.millisecond.com/download/library/v6/rspan/rspan/automatedrspan.manual

Each round in the task consists of multiple trials, depending on the set size for the given round and the participant's response behavior. Each round in the test block (TestBoth) ends with a letter_feedback trial. If you count 15 letter_feedback trials in the TestBoth block, then all 15 test rounds were completed. If you count fewer, then the task wasn't completed.
