Hello, I have edited the go-nogo task from the test library. I would like to run the experiment on Inquisit Web and have sequential participant numbers (i.e., 1 to 20). This works fine locally. However, if I upload the experiment the numbers seem to be allocated randomly. This is an issue as there are four different versions - i.e., each running a different block order. So participant 1 should get block order 1 and participant 2 block order 2 etc. This is the experiment: https://mili2nd.eu/ztjc

Subject IDs are sequential, as is evident from the logs ( https://eu.myaccount.millisecond.com/logs/participants?logid=230607 ).

What you need to understand is that the subject ID is assigned when a given participant loads the launch page, regardless of whether that participant ends up actually starting the experiment. If s/he doesm't, that subject ID is out, i.e. it will be no be re-assigned to any other participant. Also, if a participant refreshes the launch page, they are assigned a new subject ID.

If you want to assingn speciic IDs to speciic particiapnts (i.e. you have a pool of 20 participants that you know in advance), use the URL parameter option and give each participant an individual link with their assigned ID. Likewise if you want specific participants assigned to specific groups.
