Besides being able to enter the subject ID at the start of the experiment, Inquisit 4 now also allows you to enter the group number, but how do I actually access this number so I can use it for branching purposes?

Try script.groupid (just as in Inquisit 3). Also see the various new properties for the <expt> and <variables> element in the documentation (currentgroupnumber).

And I have, and it confused me. A lot of 'group' related properties, some being different groups than others.
