Hey there,

So my script seems to be having a lot of problems with certain PCs where the text doesn't appear on certain pages.

Any ideas?

If the issue is *not* present in Inquisit 3, you are seeing bugs specific to the public Inquisit 4 beta. If you want to see those fixed, please report them to inquisit<at>millisecond.com along w/ details on the affected systems (OS version, browser type and version, launch method, etc.).

Regards,

~Dave

How do i determine that the problem is not present in Inquisit 3......since it only occurs on certain computers online?

Have those computers run the thing in Inquisit 3 Web. If they're Macs, well, then it's definitely specific to the Inquisit 4 beta (lower versions are Windows-only).

Would they be able to run it on Inqusuit 3 if the original script isn't?

Sorry, that might seem like a dumb question......

In rare circumstances some characters might be garbled because Inquisit 4 is a Unicode application whereas Inquisit 3 is not. Apart from that, there should not be any major problems. However, I suggest you try it for yourself first.

It most definitely isn't...

Hey Dave,

So I've re-uploaded te script as a web experiment and changed it so that it runs off inquisit 3.

As you said, there are some garble. Usually next to numbers......its not a massive problem, but I was wondering if there as a way to fix it.

Thanks

Dave

Open the exp file in Inquisit 3 Desktop, fix any funky characters you observe (e.g. re-enter your items or whatever), save the file with Inquisit 3.
