VLC comes with its own set of binary codecs. They are not available to any other applications or the entire OS. You can try installing a codec pack such as K-Lite or, as I said, re-encode the videos to a different format.

Group: Administrators Posts: 13K, Visits: 105K	You need to install a suitable video codec on the machine in question. Which one that would be depends on the encoding of the AVI file. You need find that out and get the corresponding codec (specifically DirectShow filter) or you need to transcode the video(s) to a different format.
