Hello,

I'm conducting a study using Inquisit 4 Web, and I've had no problem launching Java on Macs or PCs. I just got a report from a collaborator using a PC that they are unable to run the program, however. When they download the plugin and select "Run," Java appears to be launched but the study never actually starts. They do not get any specific error message.

Any thoughts as to what might be going on here?

Thanks!

Dave

Perhaps their Java installation is not up-to-date or otherwise broken?

Thanks! I'll pass that on and see if we can get it working.

Yeah, that'd be the first thing I'd try. 2nd step would be trying to run a different web experiment via Java and see if that works. If so, that would narrow things down to something specific about your script.

Let us know what you find.

Apparently he hadn't noticed the "Having trouble starting? Try the Java WebStart version." option. I worked fine once he did :-) Thanks for your help!
